Madhuri’s grace and accomplishments as a dancer and actress are irreplaceable

MUMBAI: On the eve of her 59th birthday, one of Bollywood’s most respected and accomplished choreographers, Saroj Khan visited Radio City’s Mumbai studio on a special invitation by Planetradiocity.com, India’s first music networking website. The renowned dance director went down the memory lane and recalled long forgotten incidents from her three-decade long career in an interview. Currently in the news for her razor-sharp, but always heartfelt views on dance reality shows, Saroj Khan admitted that she avoids watching too much of Hindi cinema, as she isn’t too happy with contemporary choreographers’ body of work. Known best for making Madhuri Dixit a sensation with the ‘Ek do teen…’ song, Saroj Khan said: "Madhuri’s grace and accomplishments as a dancer and actress are irreplaceable."

From Islamabad: Bollywood's former diva Madhuri Dixit may have miss to impress her Indian fans with her comeback film "Aaja Nachle", but she seems to be Pakistan International Airline's best bet for keeping passengers entertained. "Madhuri Magic", a show on the "dhak dhak" girl, is being aired for PIA passengers flying to Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The show introduced last month will be on till October.

She laughs radiantly, expressing excitement at grabbing centrestage after long, “I just love being on stage, I am a trained classical dancer, and dance comes naturally to me. I try to do riyaaz regularly, but I have two small kids. Even they dance with me.” She adds, “I was also watching Aishwarya perform after long. I must say, Ash has matured so much as a dancer since we last danced together for Devdas. She’s getting better and better.”

Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, who is settled in the United States after marriage, has said she was open to film offers! "I have been offered scripts and will sign if something very interesting comes up. Logistics can be worked out whether the film can be shot in the US or India," she told reporters in Mumbai over the phone from New York.

Madhuri Dixit  The actor still enjoys a huge popularity as was evident when the crowd at a recent concert in the United States cheered her when she set foot on stage. Even after so many years, leaving India and settling down abroad, Madhuri Dixit’s fan base hasn’t declined. It was evident during a recent concert with the Bachchan’s in the USA where the crowd welcomed the dancing diva with a thunderous applause the moment she storm on stage.
